Unit 1 People around us 第五课时 (Period 5) 教学内容 Focusing on culture (pp.14-15) 主要语篇 My dad 教学目标 通过本课的学习,学生能够: 1.了解英语诗歌中押韵词、诗行、诗节等概念。 2.理解诗歌My dad的内容和作者想要表达的情感。 3.了解大多数国家庆祝父亲节的时间及其含义。 4. 搜集子女向父母表达爱意的故事、诗歌或名言。 5.用不同的方式向父母等重要的身边人表达自己的爱及感恩之情。 教学重点 理解诗歌My dad的内容和作者想要表达的情感。 教学难点 能用不同的方式向父母等重要的身边人表达自己的爱及感恩之情。 【教学过程】 Step1 以 问 题“How do we thank the people we love ”引入话题,让学生进行分组讨论, 并与全班分享讨论结果。 Possible answers: We can thank them by saying “thank you”. We can make them a thank-you card. We can write them a thank-you letter. Step 2 引导学生阅读Mary 在父亲节写给父亲的诗歌My dad, 回答以下问题: How many verses(诗节)and lines(诗行)are there in the poem Why do you think she wrote the poem 教师在学生阅读后给学生介绍英语诗歌中诗行(line) 和诗节 (verse/stanza) 的概念 Step 3引导学生更详细地阅读诗歌,并完成表格填写。 At home At work What does Mary's dad do every day How does he feel What does Mary think of her dad 教师可针对诗歌当中的一些细节进行追问,引导学生进一步理解Mary 所表达的情感。 例 如 : Why is Mary's dad too tired to laugh or play What does Mary think of her dad What does Mary really think of her dad,a boring man or a superman Step 4 教师给学生讲解英文诗歌中有关押韵词(rhyme) 的知识,学生听诗歌朗诵录音, 并圈出押韵词。学生模仿朗读,教师提醒学生注意根据不同诗节中作者的情感为朗读注 入合适的情感。 押韵词:day,play,today;bed,dad;site,kite,height;me,see. Step 5 学生以小组形式讨论以下问题,并进行分享。 Why did Mary write the line “My dad's a superman,you see!” How does the poem make you feel How do you show your love for your father/mother 学生分享自己的想法,言之有理即可。如: Mary wrote the line “My dad's a superman,you see!”to show her true feeling for her dad:she is really proud of her dad. The poem is really interesting.The contrast between the image of a boring man and that of a superman makes the poem fun to read. I show my love for my parents with words and company.I spend lots of time with them and I often tell them “I love you”. Step 6 学生阅读诗歌后关于父亲节的注释,教师邀请学生分享自己对于父亲节的了解, 例如:其他国家庆祝父亲节的时间、典型的活动等,学生也可以分享自己在父亲节为父 亲做过最特别的事。 Step 7 联系自身实际,实践运用。 1.学生根据白身实际情况,完成表格填写。 My dad /mum Whatjob does he /she do Where does he/she work What does he /she do at home What does he /she do at work What do you think of him/her What should you leam from him/her 2. 学生根据自己的实际水平,选择完成以下一项任务。 Briefly introduce your dad/mum according to the information in the table.
