8BU5 Looking into nature：Starting out & Understanding ideas (文本解读) 教学设计 1.课时教学目标 通过本课时学习，学生能够： （1）了解关于自然探索的相关知识，对单元主题进行初步的思考； （2）理解并讲述琥珀在解锁自然奥秘方面的作用； （3）思考其他探索自然奥秘的途径。 2.教学重难点 重点：熟练掌握本课核心词汇：dinosaur, feather, believe, thanks to, amber, pieces of the past, change, species, no longer, prove, discover, unknown, ant, belief, a window on the past, put more effort into, key, unlock, secrets of nature等。 难点：了解关于自然探索的相关知识，理解并讲述琥珀在解锁自然奥秘方面的作用。 3.教学过程 教学目标 学习活动 效果评价 了解关于自然探索的相关知识，对单元主题进行初步的思考。 Lead-in A/B/C层学生根据单元标题及章首页图片，回答问题：What can you see in the picture What do you think the man is doing What does the picture make you feel 进而关注章首页图片下方的单元提示，了解本单元的学习内容和目标。 Starting out 1.A层学生讨论问题：What do you know about these people What do they have in common B/C层学生将图片人物与其身份及成就进行匹配。之后思考问题：What do they have in common 2.A/B层学生看视频，填写表格。 C层学生观看视频，补全表格中的句子。 3.A/B/C层学生回答问题：What secrets of nature do you know Which one do you want to explore more 根据学生的回答情况，评价其能否主动参与互动、交流。 根据学生的完成情况，评价学生能否了解自然探索的相关知识，初步思考单元主题意义。 理解并讲述琥珀在解锁自然奥秘方面的作用。 Before reading 1.A/B/C层学生观察图片并回答：What is this Is amber about things in the past or things in the future 2.A层学生根据图片、标题以及词云预测：What is the passage about B/C层学生根据图片、标题、词云，预测并选出文章的主要内容。 While reading A/B/C层学生阅读全文并验证自己的猜测。 A/B/C层学生再次阅读全文，回答：How many secrets are mentioned in the passage What are they A层学生阅读课文前四段并独立完成表格。 B/C层学生在教师的引导下，逐段细读前四段文本，完成表格。 A/B/C层学生细读课文第五段，回答问题：What does the writer compare amber to A层学生思考并选出课文的可能出处，并解释选择的理由。 B/C层学生根据课文内容选出课文的可能出处。 A/B层学生再次细读课文并完成填空。 C层学生在教师的引导下梳理课文内容并完成填空。 A层学生根据思维导图，使用核心语言复述课文。 B/C层学生根据教材第70页的活动4，使用核心语言复述课文。 根据学生的回答情况，评价其能否对课文主旨进行合理预测。 根据学生的完成情况，评价其对课文主旨大意的理解。 根据学生的完成情况，评价其对课文关键信息的理解。 根据学生的复述情况，评价其对课文内容及本课时核心语言的掌握程度。 思考其他探索自然奥秘的途径。 After reading 1.A/B/C层学生思考并回答：What do you think of Paragraph 1 Why does the writer begin like this 2.A/B/C层学生思考并回答：What are some other ways for you to learn about nature’s secrets 根据学生回答问题的情况，评价其对课文主题意义的理解。根据需要给出必要的指导和反馈。 作业内容： A层 1.
